Privacy Policy
Let's Dance Robot
Last Updated: April 23, 2026 | Effective: April 23, 2026
Looking for the v1.2 policy? This page describes the privacy practices of earlier versions of Let's Dance Robot, which did not include advertising. If you are using v1.2 or later, the current policy is at
/letsdancerobot/v1.2/privacy.
Quick Summary: Let's Dance Robot does not collect or store personal information on our servers. Live Mode recordings stay on your device unless you share them. If ads are enabled in a future release, limited device and interaction data may be processed by the ad platforms listed below.
1. Data Collection
We do not collect any data from users of this app on our servers.
Let's Dance Robot is a privacy-focused app that works entirely on your device. We don't have servers, databases, or any way to collect information about you or your usage. If advertising is enabled in a future version, the ad platforms we use may process limited data as described below.
2. Information Storage
The only information stored locally on your device is:
- Your robot's name (up to 10 characters)
Everything else — your current dance selection, playback speed, music volume — lives only in memory for the duration of a session and is discarded when the app closes. Your robot's name:
- ✅ Stays on your device (in Apple's standard per-app storage)
- ✅ Is never transmitted anywhere
- ✅ Is deleted when you uninstall the app
- ✅ Cannot be accessed by us or anyone else
3. Device Permissions
Let's Dance Robot uses the following device features:
- Motion Sensors: To detect when you shake your device to trigger a glitch effect
- Audio Playback: To play music and voice synthesis (all stored locally in the app)
- Haptic Feedback: To provide tactile feedback when you tap, swipe, or long-press
- Screen Recording (Live Mode only): To capture 10-second dance clips — see next section
We do not request access to your microphone, camera, photo library, location, contacts, calendar, or health data.
4. Live Mode Recording
Live Mode lets you record a 10-second video of your robot performance using Apple's ReplayKit screen recording.
When you tap the record button:
- iOS shows its standard "Record Screen Activity" permission prompt
- Only the Let's Dance Robot window and its music are captured — not your microphone, and not any other app or system content
- After 10 seconds, iOS presents its own preview screen where you choose to save the clip to Photos, share it through another app (Messages, Instagram, etc.), or discard it
We do not receive a copy of any recording. We do not upload, store, analyze, or transmit your videos in any way. If you share a clip through another app, that app's privacy policy governs what happens next.
5. Third-Party Services
The current version of Let's Dance Robot uses no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
A future update may introduce advertising (see section 10 below).
Let's Dance Robot currently contains:
- ❌ No active ads
- ❌ No analytics
- ❌ No tracking pixels
- ❌ No data sharing with anyone
6. Age and Audience
Let's Dance Robot carries a 13+ age rating on the App Store and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone. If advertising is enabled in a future release, the data practices of third-party ad platforms described in section 10 will apply.
7. Internet Connection
Core features do not require an internet connection. Let's Dance Robot works completely offline. If ads are enabled in a future version, an internet connection may be required to load them.
8. Data Security
Since we do not collect or transmit app data on our servers, there's no app data to secure on our side:
- App data is sandboxed by iOS
- Core app data is stored locally on your device
- Live Mode recordings stay on your device until you explicitly share them through iOS's share sheet
- Any future ad-related processing is handled by the ad platforms' systems according to their policies
9. Your Rights
Since we don't collect any data about you on our servers, there's no app data to:
- Request access to
- Request correction of
- Request deletion of
- Port to another service
Simply uninstalling the app removes all local app data from your device. If advertising is enabled in a future version, ad-related data will be governed by the ad platforms' privacy policies.
10. Advertising Disclosure
Important Notice: Advertising is not active in the current version. We may introduce it in a future app update. This section explains what that will involve so there are no surprises.
Advertising Platform
If ads are enabled, Let's Dance Robot may use one or more of:
- Google Ad Manager 360 and Google AdMob (ad serving and mediation)
- Prebid Mobile SDK (header bidding auction across demand partners)
- Mediavine (publisher partner)
When ads are active:
- Banner ads may appear at the bottom of the screen
- Optional rewarded ads may be offered in exchange for unlocking content (new moves, skins, beats)
Data Collection with Ads
When advertising is enabled, the ad platforms above may collect or receive:
- Device Identifiers: Advertising ID (IDFA on iOS) — only if you grant App Tracking Transparency permission
- Device Information: Device model, OS version, screen size, locale, time zone
- Ad Interaction Data: Which ads are viewed, clicked, dismissed, or completed
- Approximate Location: Based on IP address (not precise GPS)
- App Usage: Session duration, frequency of use
This data is collected and processed by the ad platforms according to their privacy policies, not stored on our servers. We do not combine it with anything else about you, do not create user profiles, and do not sell data.
App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
iOS requires apps to request permission before tracking you across other companies' apps or websites. When ads are introduced:
- You will see Apple's tracking permission prompt
- You can choose "Allow" for personalized ads or "Ask App Not to Track" for non-personalized ads
- The app will work the same either way — this only affects ad relevance
- You can change this setting anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy → Tracking
Your Choices
When ads are introduced, you will have options:
- Opt out of personalized ads: Deny tracking permission via the ATT prompt
- Limit Ad Tracking: iOS system setting in Settings → Privacy → Tracking
- Stay on the current version: Don't update the app to keep the ad-free experience
- Delete the app: Removes all local data and stops any ad requests
Third-Party Privacy Policies
When ads are active, the following services will have access to data:
When Will This Happen?
Advertising is not yet active. If we release an update with ads:
- This privacy policy will be updated with an "Advertising Active" notice
- The App Store update notes will clearly state "This version includes advertising"
- The App Store privacy labels will be updated to reflect data collection
- You can review the changes before updating the app
11. App Store Data
If you download Let's Dance Robot from the Apple App Store, Apple may collect certain information according to its own privacy policy. That data goes to Apple, not to us.
You can read Apple's privacy policy at: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
